New section logo

A fun identity

I was asked to design a logo for a summer 7 aside team for Richmond hockey club. The amazingly name Blood, Sweat and Beers typified what summer hockey is about. A great way to meet people, play some hockey and socialise afterwards.

The initial design ideas centered around the pride in playing for the badge and or course trying to symbolise hockey and victory. The first designs used the destictive cherry colour that Richmond Hockey club play in. However it was decided that the logo was only going to used on facebook so the black one was chosen. As the logo was also used on a facebook group page I decided to place the logo into a beer mat on a pub table and surround it by hockey phrases and a few spillages. The logo was very well recieved by the players which is always nice.
